Chronicle Rarity & Numbering

Learn how Chronicles are numbered and what makes some rarer than others.

Every Chronicle on DaiChronicles.io is unique and identified by a sequential Token ID. While all Chronicles are one-of-one collectibles, some are inherently rarer based on their news category and context.

🔢 Token Numbering

Chronicles are minted with incrementing Token IDs, starting from 1 and increasing with each new Chronicle generated. This ID is:

  • Used as the Chronicle’s on-chain identifier
  • Displayed in the app and marketplaces
  • Immutable and timestamped on mint
Earlier Token IDs may hold historical value for collectors — especially as the platform grows.

🧭 Rarity by Category

Each Chronicle is tagged with a news category, such as:

  • Politics
  • Business
  • Economy
  • Tech
  • Science
  • Climate
  • Crime
  • Entertainment
  • Sports
  • Religion

Some categories naturally appear less frequently, making them rarer in the long term.

Pro Tip

Categories like "Religion" or "Science" might be low-frequency — ideal for rarity-driven collectors!

🧠 Perceived vs. Engineered Rarity

DaiChronicles does not artificially inflate rarity. Instead:

  • Rarity emerges from natural frequency
  • No artificial "legendary" or "super rare" tiers exist
  • The community assigns value based on narrative, cultural timing, and perspective

This keeps the ecosystem organic and democratic.
